Softbeach is the southenmost camp of Tarabin and has a lovely soft and sandy beach. Hence the name of the camp... It is quiet and safe, ideal for families.
Far away from mass tourism and the big holiday destinations in Sinai like Sharm-el-Sheikh and Dahab, Softbeach Camp appeals to those tourists who seek a more tranquil experience. The camp is run by a German-Egyptian couple and is designed for people who are looking to enjoy a natural setting and an easy-going and family atmosphere. Our camp is located at the southern entrance of Tarabin, a Bedouin settlement, approx. 1 km away from Nuweiba City and also not far away from the main road between Taba and Sharm.
On our doorstep you find crystal clear water and coral reefs, ideal for snorkeling. Take a walk in the mountains, or get to know the local Bedouins and learn about their fascinating culture. Due to its spaciousness, the beach is ideal for a variety of sporting activities, also yoga - meditation and QiGong groups enjoy the natural beauty. The flat, sandy beach is particularly well suited for children. You cannot swim with a dolphin but with at least 3 turtles.
As our guest you will experience the time-honoured hospitality and culture of the Egyptians in a simple setting. Our breakfast is your choice between either Continental, Egyptian, Shaksouka, Omelet and a variety of "western" sandwiches served in local bread and is quiet substantiell. In our beach restaurant we serve a la carte fresh fisch, oriental and international dishes.
The camp is a paradise for couples, singles, families, sunbathers, desert friends, people with burn-out-syndroms and for those who are looking for a new purpose in life. Our friendly staff is more than willing to help with anything from tours, transport and anything else for which they can be of assistance. There is ample parking place for big vehicles.
Softbeach Camp has 35 huts of which the small huts cost 50LE for a single and 80LE for a double and the big ones 70LE for a single and 100LE for a double. All huts are equipped with mosquito nets and most with fans. All prices include breakfast.
24 hour electricity and free wifi complete the package. Softbeach cooperates with Scuba-Village dive centre in offering dive courses and excursions. Arabic, English, Hebrew and German is spoken here.

Our rating system explained... Our star rating is based on the facilities on offer in the camps and hotels, not on the quality of those facilities. So a hotel with wifi, 24 hour electricity and restaurant will get a higher rating than a camp with cleaner bathrooms and a nicer view, but no internet or dive centre. Most of the time the rating will also depict the price range; where 1 stars will be very basic and very cheap and 5 stars will be expensive, but luxurious...
